“Many years of rhymes and poems are now turned into my own song.”

That’s probably the most personal part of the whole thing.

The Songs Inside My Head

I’ve always had songs in my head.

Not just melodies, but lines, rhymes, phrases and little ideas that have stayed with me for years.

The new Rola Colas song “The Songs Inside” is about some of those musical memories from my youth. Hundreds and hundreds of melodies & lyrics…

Horse With No Name – America.
War Pigs – Black Sabbath.
Stairway to Heaven – Led Zeppelin.
Two Tribes – Frankie Goes to Hollywood.
Hotel California – The Eagles.
19th Nervous Breakdown – The Rolling Stones
Penny Lane – The Beatles.
Eleanor Rigby – The Beatles.
Kinky Affro/Loose -Fit Happy Mondays
One In Ten – UB40.
Adored – The Stone Roses.

I’ve been writing rhymes, poems and song ideas for years. Eventually, those old ideas found a way out through the Rola Colas.

What started as a bit of fun with Better Than Guy Ritchie turned into song after song.

The technology may be different now, but the inspiration isn’t.

All those years of listening.

All those years of writing.

All those words sitting inside my head.

Eventually, they had to become songs.

The Songs Inside.

All those songs.
All those years.
All those words.

Now they’re mine.

Songs inside
