“BE EMERGENCY READY.”
In September 2026, the Irish Government began sending an emergency-preparedness booklet to households across the country. Around 2.2 million homes are expected to receive it.
PREDICTED IN ALL ELITE NEWS OUTLETS:
HALF A MILLION PEOPLE WILL DIE?
EL NIÑO — YOU ARE WARNED
THE ROLA COLAS
THERE IS A STORM A BREWING…
Something strange has landed on Irish doorsteps.
Not a letter from the future.
Not an evacuation order.
Not a government announcement telling us that something catastrophic is coming.
A booklet.
“BE EMERGENCY READY.”
In September 2026, the Irish Government began sending an emergency-preparedness booklet to households across the country. Around 2.2 million homes are expected to receive it.
The official explanation is straightforward.
Prepare for severe weather.
Prepare for flooding.
Prepare for power outages.
Prepare for water disruption.
Prepare for communications failures.
Keep food and water.
Have a torch.
Keep a power bank charged.
Know where your important documents are.
Be prepared to cope if essential services temporarily disappear.
The Government says this is common-sense preparation — not a prediction of a particular disaster.
And perhaps it is.
But here’s where the Rola Colas question begins.
Why now?
Because when somebody tells you to prepare for something, the natural question is:
What do they know that we don’t?
THE WARNING
Our song starts with a storm.
Not just rain.
A storm building somewhere beyond the horizon.
A low-frequency drone.
The wind getting louder.
Thunder rolling across the darkness.
And underneath it all, one question:
Are we being prepared for something that hasn’t happened yet?
The Government says no.
It says the booklet is about resilience.
It points to storms, flooding, power cuts and other disruptions — particularly the lessons from Storm Éowyn in January 2025.
That is the documented explanation.
But conspiracy theories don’t begin with answers.
They begin with questions.
EL NIÑO
Then comes El Niño.
El Niño is a real climate phenomenon involving changes in ocean temperatures and atmospheric circulation, and it can influence weather patterns around the world.
But the claim that the next El Niño will be “the worst in the history of the world” is a prediction, not an established fact.
That’s important.
Because this song isn’t pretending that we have a secret meteorological report hidden in a drawer somewhere.
It’s asking:
What if the warnings become bigger than the explanations?
What if people start connecting the dots?
The booklet.
The storms.
The changing climate.
The emergency supplies.
The warnings about infrastructure.
The possibility of power disappearing.
The possibility of communications going down.
And somewhere in the background…
the storm keeps coming.
THE HAARP QUESTION
Then there’s HAARP.
The High-frequency Active Auroral Research Program is a real scientific research facility in Alaska.
It is also at the centre of a long-running conspiracy theory claiming that its technology can manipulate weather or create storms.
There is no established scientific evidence that HAARP can create hurricanes, El Niño events or deliberately control weather.
But that doesn’t stop the idea appearing in conspiracy culture.
And that’s exactly where the Rola Colas song takes it.
Not as a scientific conclusion.
As a dark question.
What if the things we are told are harmless aren’t?
What if the things we don’t understand become the things we fear?
THE BOOKLET
The Government says:
Be aware.
Make a plan.
Stay connected.
The conspiracy-minded reader hears something else:
Be ready.
Something could happen.
Don’t say you weren’t warned.
Maybe that’s unfair.
Maybe it’s simply responsible government.
Maybe after years of storms, floods, power cuts and infrastructure problems, governments have finally decided that people should know how to survive a few days without normal services.
Or maybe…
there is another reason.
That’s the question.
Not the answer.
THE STORM
And that’s why the Rola Colas version isn’t a news report.
It’s a warning bell.
A dark thought.
A storm rolling over the horizon.
A story about what happens when people stop trusting the explanations they’re given.
The Government says:
Be Emergency Ready.
The song asks:
Ready for what?
And somewhere underneath the thunder…
the answer is still waiting.
YOU ARE WARNED.
Not because we know what’s coming.
Not because we can predict the future.
But because sometimes…
the warning itself becomes the story.

Not Just A Warning?
